Edmodo is a great learning tool to be used in the classroom. There are many reasons why this tool effective for both the students and teachers. It is easy to learn and navigate the system. It is not a complex website with a lot of instructions but easy to learn. There are many functions available including quizzes, assignments, games, posts, library, and polls. In creates a community in the classroom. Using Edmodo avoids the dangers on the internet, it is a safe environment for students. It also encourages the students to be actively part of the learning process. When students are required to post comments and participate in discussions they learn a lot. Students also enjoy the group work and camaraderie. There is also a feature that allows the parents to be part of the class. Parents have the ability to view their children's work. This a great additive to have the parents part of the learning process. Teachers also can keep tabs on their students. Teachers can monitor the students work and progress. Teachers can provide feedback and badges to their students. I think this is a great learning tool, it comes with a lot of advantages.
